First off - I am ignoring the movie. I don't think I could bear to watch it. The preview was painful. I'm sure it's a fine movie in its own right, but I think it'd taint how I see DIR.
So these are mice from the BOOK, not the movie. Which means Merriman is tall, thin, big nose'd and has spiky white hair, like described in the book. Not the short fat guy with a beard the obviously blind movie director cast. /rant No offense to his acting talent, though. He might be a great actor. He just doesn't look right ;-; Er. Anyway! I watched the preview and I almost cried. Well, not really, but it was close to close to crying. Will is an American! He has a crush on Maggie, the evil fat girl who pretended to like his older brother. It is set in present day times. He hurls fire. His family is mean to him. It... none of it works. ;-;
